Therapy That Meets You Where You’re At — Literally
Internal Family Systems Therapy is grounded in a simple truth: people don’t exist in isolation. We live, grow, and struggle within families, and those relationships shape who we are. When something isn’t working for one family member, it often points to deeper patterns in how the family functions as a whole.
At Tailwinds, we help families understand their patterns, shift unhelpful dynamics, and build more supportive, connected relationships.
Most of our therapy services are available through secure video sessions, including:
Individual therapy for adults, teens, and children (depending on age and developmental needs)
Couples counseling and parent consultation
Group therapy
Some components of psychological and neuropsychological assessments (such as intakes, interviews, and feedback sessions)
Note: For younger children or more complex evaluations, we may recommend a hybrid or in-person model to ensure quality of care.
Rather than focusing on one “identified problem person,” Internal Family Systems Therapy looks at how all members of the family influence each other — sometimes in ways they don’t even realize. The goal isn’t to assign blame, but to better understand how behaviors make sense in context.
Your therapist works with the family as a unit to create healthier ways of communicating, relating, and supporting each other. We also work with subsystems — like parent-child pairs, co-parents, or siblings — to strengthen relationships where repair is most needed.

Work with your therapist just like you would in person, with all the same warmth, skill, and professionalism you’d expect from a member of your Tailwinds team.
Internal Family Systems Therapy can include the whole family or selected members, depending on the issue. Sessions focus on building insight into interaction patterns and fostering healthier, more intentional ways of relating. Your therapist will ensure that all voices are heard, not just the loudest or most distressed.
Therapy is a safe space to talk about what’s not working and build something better, together.
If you’ve noticed the same arguments repeating, if one person’s struggles feel like they’re affecting everyone, or if you just want to reconnect and communicate better — internal family systems therapy may be an important next step.
Healing doesn’t have to happen in isolation. We’re here to help your family find new ways to move forward as a team.
